Alpine Days
Alpine's weeklong summer celebration returns for the city's 175th anniversary with a rodeo, a parade, a carnival, the popular Creekside Park boutique, Chalk the Walk, a movie in the park, and more.
Tucked against the mountains at the north end of Utah Valley, Alpine throws one of the area's most beloved small-town celebrations. Alpine Days is a weeklong run of events built around Creekside Park, and 2026 is a special one — it coincides with the city's 175th anniversary, so expect an extra dose of hometown pride.
What to Expect
The celebration packs a lot into a week. The Alpine Days Rodeo is the marquee draw (and tickets tend to sell out fast — residents get first access before sales open to the public). There's a community parade, a returning carnival with discounted wristband days, a car show, and a youth entrepreneur market that gives Alpine's kids a chance to run their own booths.
A few signature traditions round it out: the Creekside Park boutique, where local vendors set up for two days of shopping; Chalk the Walk, a sidewalk-chalk-art contest whose winners are announced right before a movie in the park under the stars; historical exhibits from the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers; a senior dinner; a pet show and petting zoo; and plenty of live music and water games for the kids.
2026 Dates & Details
Alpine Days runs August 8–15, 2026, with most activity centered on Creekside Park (100 S 600 E). Many events are free, while the rodeo and carnival are ticketed — check the schedule for exact days and times, since the rodeo, boutique, and movie night each fall on specific evenings during the week. Full details and the day-by-day lineup are on the official Alpine Days site.
Alpine Days overlaps nicely with the north-valley festival season — the Highland Fling wraps up just before it, and American Fork Steel Days runs earlier in the summer. See everything on the Provo events calendar.
