American Fork's signature summer celebration: an eight-day, 30+ event festival named for the city's Columbia Steel Mill history, building to a Grand Parade down Main Street and fireworks from Art Dye Park.

Steel Days is American Fork's signature summer celebration — an eight-day run of more than 30 events that has grown out of the city's Columbia Steel Mill heritage into one of Utah County's favorite hometown festivals. It builds toward a finale day featuring a Grand Parade down Main Street and evening fireworks from Art Dye Park.

What to Expect

Across the week, Steel Days packs in a car show, a carnival, a drone show, live entertainment, and a long list of tournaments and community events — recent years have added everything from a pickleball "Glowdown" to a burnout contest, a Mario Kart tournament, and a youth entrepreneur market. The Grand Parade rolls through downtown American Fork with floats, marching bands, community organizations, classic cars, and public safety vehicles, and the celebration closes with fireworks launched from Art Dye Park around 10 p.m., with synchronized music for those at the park.

2026 Dates

Steel Days lands in mid-to-late July and runs about eight days; the exact 2026 dates are set closer to the event. Check the official site for the confirmed schedule as it firms up.

One Note for 2026

Because of this year's wildfire conditions and the statewide fireworks restrictions around the Fourth of July, it's worth confirming that the Steel Days fireworks show is proceeding before you plan around it — the state signaled it may reassess fireworks rules for the late-July window. Professional shows are separate from personal fireworks, but check for updates closer to the date.
