Lindon's week-long summer celebration returns August 1–8, 2026, at City Center Park — a Grand Parade, a family rodeo, free swim nights, concerts, a movie in the park, the Mayor's candy scramble, and fireworks, with most events free.

For one week each August, the small city of Lindon throws one of Utah Valley's most wholesome community celebrations. Lindon Days runs August 1–8, 2026, with most of the action centered on Lindon City Center Park — and nearly everything is free.

The Signature Events

The week builds around a few beloved traditions. The Lindon Days Grand Parade rolls through town with floats, marching bands, horses, dance groups, and local businesses — grab a spot along the route early. The family rodeo is a highlight for the kids, with mutton bustin', steer riding, and barrel racing, plus free pre-rodeo entertainment like the stick-horse race and "cash cow." After the arena events, stick around for the Mayor's candy scramble (kids dig through sawdust for candy, with a few full-size candy bars hidden in the mix) and some old-fashioned country dancing.

Around the Week

Beyond the marquee days, Lindon fills the calendar with the kind of programming that makes a small town feel like one big neighborhood: free swim nights at the aquatics center, evening concerts, a movie in the park (with free ice cream served by the City Council beforehand), a fast-moving chess tournament open to all ages, a National Night Out with the police department, an astronomy night with the Utah Valley Astronomy Club, and tours of the historic Harris pioneer home. The celebration typically closes with fireworks.

Because many activities require free registration (which opened July 1), it's worth checking the full day-by-day schedule before the week begins. See the official Lindon Days page for times, and browse the Provo events calendar for everything else happening around the valley this summer. If you're deciding between celebrations, our Utah Valley late-summer events guide lays out the whole August-into-Labor-Day stretch.
