How the list was chosen, and what it leaves out
The constraint was that we had to already cover it. If this site has no guide to a thing, that thing is not on the list, however obvious it might seem. That rule keeps the list honest in a way that a hundred plausible ideas would not: every line here ends in a page with parking, seasons, access notes and the caveats that matter, rather than in a dead end. It also means the balance is uneven on purpose. Utah Valley genuinely has more small-town summer festivals than it has anything else, so festivals take the largest share.
There are no prices, no opening hours and no dates anywhere on this list. A bucket list gets read years after it is written, and a ticket price from three seasons ago is worse than no number at all. Where timing matters — and for a lot of these it matters enormously, because the bloom window is two weeks or the road closes with the snow — the item says so in general terms and the linked guide carries the specifics. Check before you drive, particularly for anything up a canyon.
