BYU's Spring 2027 Commencement, followed by college convocations on April 22 and 23 — the weekend Provo hotels fill and out-of-town family arrives in force.
Commencement weekend is one of the two or three hardest weekends of the year to find a hotel room in Utah Valley, and the demand spreads well beyond Provo — Orem, Lehi and American Fork all absorb the overflow.
If you are hosting family, book early. If you are not, expect restaurant waits and campus-adjacent traffic on both days.
