The events worth leaving the house for — concerts, markets, festivals, games, and family things to do across Provo, Orem, and the rest of the valley. Pulled straight from the full events calendar.

The first weekend of September is the one where Utah Valley's calendar changes character without the weather cooperating. Campus is back, which means the student calendar has restarted and the parking around both universities has gone from trivial to a genuine planning input. The canyons are still fully summer. Autumn is three weeks out at the mouth and further up top than people expect.
If you are choosing one thing: this is the last comfortable stretch for the high country before the aspen crowds arrive and the upper roads start their seasonal countdown. The Alpine Loop and the upper reaches of American Fork Canyon are open and quiet in a way they will not be at the end of the month, and the drive is the event. Down in the valley, the farmers markets are at their peak week rather than their opening one, which is a different and better experience.
Everything below is pulled live from the calendar and re-sorted every build. If a listing and a venue's own page disagree on a date, believe the venue.
