BYU's Summer Term 2027 begins, the second of the two short terms that make up the spring-summer semester.
Summer Term runs through early August and is the smallest enrollment period of BYU's year.
It matters locally mostly for what it is not: the campus population stays low right through the Fourth of July and the Freedom Festival, which is why those events feel like a city celebration rather than a campus one.
