Lehi Utilities, Power and Garbage: The $30 Setup Fee, Lehi City Power's Rates, Pickup Days and the $350 Dumpster

Lehi City bills power, water, sewer and garbage together; signing up online costs $30. Garbage is $16.94 a month with recycling every other week. Lehi City Power's rates, outage line, holiday pickup delays and the dumpster rental.

Lehi runs its own electric utility, so a single Lehi City bill covers power, water, sewer and usually garbage. Signing up costs $30, garbage is $16.94 a month, and gas comes separately from Enbridge Energy.

Everything below is from Lehi City's utilities, waste and recycling, and Lehi City Power pages, read Nov. 7, 2026.

Setting up service

  1. Create an Xpress Bill Pay account and choose New Utility Sign Up. Lehi posts step-by-step instructions in English and Spanish.
  2. Complete the application and pay the $30 setup fee. The city then puts utilities in your name.
  3. Call Enbridge Energy at 1-800-323-5517 for natural gas; Lehi doesn't handle it.

Some neighborhoods pay garbage through an HOA instead of the city bill. Renters take note: utilities stay in the homeowner's name until the renter applies and pays the $30 fee. Moving out? You must call the Information Center with a cancellation date, or the billing continues.

Lehi City Power

The Lehi City Power Department owns the lines and buys power wholesale. The city says wholesale power is more than 70% of the department's operating costs.

The department office is at 560 W. Glen Carter Drive, Monday-Thursday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Garbage and recycling

Service Cost
One garbage can + one recycling can $16.94 a month
Extra garbage can $9.50 a month, 12-month minimum
Second recycling can Free
Annual dump pass (garbage customers) Free, three punches of up to 499 lbs. each at North Pointe

Garbage goes weekly, recycling every other week on the same day; the city publishes a pickup map and a 2026 calendar. Put cans out by 6 a.m.: Waste Management says it won't come back for a can that wasn't out on time. If it was out and got missed, or a can is broken, call 385-201-1000.

Holiday delays

There's no collection on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. In a holiday week, every pickup on or after the holiday slides one day, and normal service resumes the next week. A holiday on Sunday causes no delay. So in 2026, Thursday and Friday pickups move to Friday and Saturday in Thanksgiving week, and Friday's moves to Saturday in Christmas week.

Dumpster rental

If you pay garbage to Lehi City, you can rent a 24-by-8-by-7-foot dumpster for $350 for five days: delivered Thursday by 5 p.m., picked up the following Tuesday. Lehi has four a week. It goes on your property, not the street, and can't take gas tanks, tires, batteries, oil, paint, solvents, refrigerators, rocks, dirt, concrete, liquids, air conditioners, fluorescent lights or electronics. Refunds aren't given if you cancel less than two weeks out.

For bigger loads, the North Pointe landfill is at 2000 W. 200 S. in Lindon, 801-225-8538.
