Renewing a Utah Driver License: Online or In Person, the $52 Fee, the Eye Test at 65 and the Utah County Offices

Utah licenses last eight years and can be renewed up to six months early. Renewal is $52 ($42 online), or $27 at 65 and older. Who can renew online, who needs an eye test, and where to go in Utah County.

A regular Utah driver license is good for eight years, and you can renew it up to six months early. Renewal costs $52 in person or $42 online; drivers 65 and older pay $27, or $22 online, and must pass an eye test. In Utah County you renew in person at the Driver License Division in Orem or Springville, not at the Provo DMV.
