Provo Bay

Airport, wetlands and open land on Provo's southwest edge

Provo Bay is the least residential neighborhood in the city and the most distinctive. It is dominated by Provo Municipal Airport and by the shoreline and wetlands of Utah Lake's Provo Bay, with agricultural land and light-industrial flex space filling most of what's left. Lakeview Parkway — the old West Side Connector — was built through here, with wetland mitigation attached, and it is what opened this corner of the city to anything at all.

Where it is

Provo's southwest corner, taking in the airport, the Provo Bay shoreline and the agricultural land around them. Check the city's neighborhood map for exact lines.

The housing

Sparse. Scattered homes and agricultural properties rather than subdivisions. Anyone shopping for a house on this side of town is realistically looking at Lakewood or Lakeview South.

Schools

Provo City School District serves the area, with the west-side schools nearest. Attendance boundaries change and the district is the only authority on them, so confirm any address with Provo City School District before you count on a school.

Getting around

Lakeview Parkway is the spine, connecting the airport to south Provo and north toward Orem. I-15 is about ten minutes east.
