December in Utah Valley comes with more Christmas music than any one family can get to. Here are the concerts we could confirm on the venues' own pages and the Provo City Library's winter events list, checked Nov. 7, 2026, in date order.

BYU's Celebration of Christmas
BYU's Christmas choral concert brings the combined BYU choirs and the BYU Philharmonic to the Concert Hall in the Music Building. BYU OnStage lists three performances: Friday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 5 at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., with tickets from $21 to $34. Tickets went on sale Oct. 14, so check availability before you plan the evening around it. The evening shows run about two hours, by the listing's 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. window.
With younger children, the 3 p.m. Saturday matinee ends well before bedtime.
Christmas Around the World
The same weekend, Dec. 4 and 5, BYU stages Christmas Around the World at the Marriott Center, according to the Provo City Library's list. It's a dance production, a long-running BYU tradition: a 2002 BYU announcement billed that year's performances by the BYU International Folk Dance Ensemble as the 43rd annual. Jenny Oaks Baker at the Noorda
Violinist Jenny Oaks Baker and Family Four, her children, who are also musicians, bring "Joy to the World! A Sacred Christmas Celebration" to UVU's Noorda Center for the Performing Arts, 800 W. University Parkway in Orem, on Monday, Dec. 7, The Salt Lake Tribune reported. Soprano Lisa Hopkins Seegmiller, baritone and narrator Preston Yates and the choir Utah Voices join them. Tickets are sold through Etix.
Covey Center: A Thrill of Hope, and the Messiah
Provo's city-run Covey Center for the Arts, 425 W. Center St., has two Christmas concerts on the library's list:
- A Thrill of Hope: A Christmas Concert, Wednesday, Dec. 2.
- The Messiah sing-along, Wednesday, Dec. 23 at 7 p.m. The Utah Valley Symphony and the Orem Chorale perform Handel's Messiah, and, in the symphony's words, "the audience is invited to sing alongside professional musicians and choirs." No performance experience is required. Two days before Christmas, it's an easy family tradition to start.

Sing We Now of Christmas in Orem
Sing We Now of Christmas is at Orem Library Hall, 58 N. State St., on Saturday, Dec. 19. The library list doesn't give a time or price, so check the Orem Library's events page before you go.
Worth the drive: Salt Lake City
The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square's Christmas concerts are at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Dec. 17 to 19, per the Provo library's list, and Music & the Spoken Word continues on Sundays in December. Planning tips
- Buy early for BYU. The concert hall is smaller than the arena, and three performances serve the whole valley.
- Go on a weeknight if you can. The Dec. 2, Dec. 7 and Dec. 23 concerts don't compete with the BYU weekend.
