Sunday Brunch in Utah Valley: The Plain List of Places That Open on Sunday, From Sundance's Buffet to Santaquin, and the Favorites That Don't

The Utah County brunch and breakfast spots that open on Sunday, city by city, with Sunday hours, plus the popular ones that close. Checked October 2026.

Sunday brunch exists in Utah Valley. There is just less of it than the restaurant count suggests, because many independent kitchens here close on Sunday. This is the plain list: the brunch and breakfast places in Utah County that open on Sunday, city by city, with their Sunday hours, followed by the well-known spots that do not.

How this list was checked. Every Sunday hour below is as the restaurant's Google listing showed it in October 2026, unless the restaurant's own site says otherwise (Sundance and Locals are cited from their own pages). Sunday hours change more than any other field, and holiday weekends and General Conference weekends shift them, so call before driving across the county. For the full guide to brunch any day of the week, including the alcohol rules and the Saturday advice, see our Utah Valley brunch guide. For lunch and dinner on Sunday, see restaurants open on Sunday in Provo.

Provo

1. The Brunch House

1145 North 500 West. Sunday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. A breakfast-and-lunch house with the same hours seven days a week, which makes it one of the few Provo brunch kitchens where Sunday is an ordinary day. It sits a few blocks west of BYU.

2. Communal

102 North University Avenue. Sunday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The downtown restaurant keeps a weekend daytime service, and its Sunday window matches its Saturday morning one. Dinner is not served on Sunday.

3. Block Restaurant

3330 North University Avenue. Sunday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. In Provo's Riverside area, toward the mouth of Provo Canyon. Like Communal, it serves weekend brunch on both days and skips Sunday dinner.

4. Guru's Cafe

45 East Center Street. Sunday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The vegetarian-friendly Center Street café opens on Sunday for a five-hour window. It is the Sunday option on the downtown block where several neighbors close.

5. Locals

296 North University Avenue. Sunday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Locals calls itself a 100% gluten-free restaurant, which makes it the only fully gluten-free Sunday brunch on this list. Its Sunday window is also the shortest here: four hours. Our gluten-free guide covers the rest of the valley's dedicated kitchens.

6. Slate Restaurant at the Provo Marriott

101 West 100 North. Sunday 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and 5 to 11 p.m. The hotel restaurant inside the Provo Marriott keeps hotel hours, which means it is open Sunday morning and Sunday evening. It opens earliest of any sit-down Provo option on this list.

7. First Watch, Provo

2235 North University Parkway. Sunday 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The breakfast chain keeps the same daytime hours every day of the week. There is a second Utah County location in Pleasant Grove (number 14).

8. Village Inn, Provo

933 South University Avenue. Sunday 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. The chain diner near the south end of University Avenue serves breakfast well into Sunday evening, for anyone whose Sunday morning belongs to something else.

9. Slackwater, Riverwoods

4801 North University Avenue, at the Riverwoods. Sunday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. On Sunday it opens an hour earlier than on any other day, at 10 a.m. instead of 11, with a patio at the Riverwoods. Check its current Sunday menu if you want breakfast dishes rather than its pizza.

Provo Canyon

10. The Foundry Grill at Sundance Mountain Resort

8841 North Alpine Loop Road, Sundance. Sunday brunch buffet 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The county's one dedicated Sunday brunch buffet. Sundance serves it every Sunday year-round, with made-to-order breakfast items, weekly specials, omelettes, a carving station and fresh pastries, and adds holiday buffets for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The resort lists the price at $55 for ages 13 and up and $35 for ages 5 to 12, and strongly recommends reservations; walk-ins are seated as space allows. It is about 15 miles and 25 minutes from downtown Provo up Provo Canyon, and the canyon drive is part of the outing. Our guide to eating in Provo Canyon and at Sundance covers the resort's other rooms.

Orem

Lehi

18. The Original Pancake House, Lehi

1674 West Traverse Parkway. Sunday 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Open seven days, with slightly later weekend hours than weekdays.

19. One Man Band, Lehi

1220 East Main Street. Sunday 8 a.m. to noon. A breakfast diner. Its Sunday window is four hours, much shorter than its weekday hours, so this is an early-morning stop.

24. One Man Band, Spanish Fork

410 North Main Street. Sunday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Spanish Fork location of the same diner runs a much longer Sunday than the Lehi store.

Further south: in Santaquin, about 26 minutes from Provo, Aroma Cafe (175 East Main Street) opens Sundays 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the coffee shop Wild Thistle Cafe (77 West Main Street) opens 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The favorites that close on Sunday

These come up on every Utah Valley breakfast list and are closed on Sunday, as their Google listings showed in October 2026:

Just outside the county line, Hash Kitchen at 264 East 12300 South in Draper and Mil's Cafe at 14702 Porter Rockwell Boulevard in Bluffdale both open on Sundays (7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.). Mil's Cafe is listed in Bluffdale, not Lehi, so older lists that place it in Lehi are out of date.
