Utah County's three biggest school districts line up on the big breaks this year. Alpine, Nebo and Provo City schools all take spring break April 5-9, 2027, winter break Dec. 21, 2026, through Jan. 1, 2027, and Thanksgiving Nov. 25-27. Where they differ is the scattered single days off, and the last day of school: May 26 in Nebo and May 28 in Alpine.

Alpine School District
Alpine is Utah's largest district, and 2026-27 is its last full school year: it dissolves June 30, 2027, when Aspen Peaks, Lake Mountain and Timpanogos school districts take over. Its 2026-27 calendar runs on A/B days at the secondary level.

Nebo School District
Nebo covers the south end of Utah County, from Springville and Spanish Fork to Payson, Santaquin and Goshen.

Nebo's calendar counts 180 school days: 85 in the first semester and 95 in the second. Its Good Friday day off is one Alpine and Provo don't share.
Provo City School District
From Provo City School District's 2026-27 calendar: fall break Oct. 21-26; no school Nov. 25-27 for Thanksgiving; winter break Dec. 21-Jan. 1; Jan. 14-15 off for a professional development day and a common comp day, which with the weekend and MLK Day on Jan. 18 makes five days in a row; a professional development day with no school Friday, March 19; and spring break April 5-9. Spring break doesn't line up with either university. UVU's is March 15-21, three weeks before the districts'. BYU has no spring break week, just one day without classes on Friday, March 19. Our BYU Winter 2027 dates and UVU Spring 2027 dates have the full university calendars.
