Carterville tucks in along the Provo River northeast of the central grid, where the river parkway, mature cottonwoods, and a mix of riverside apartments and older homes give it a green, tucked-away feel minutes from BYU.

Where it is

The river corridor around Carterville Road west of the Provo River. The City Council split the old Carterville neighborhood along the river on December 16, 2025; everything east of the water is now Brickyard.

Riverside apartment communities, townhomes, and older single-family homes on winding streets — a different texture from Provo's grid.

Schools
