Carterville Park is the neighborhood park for Carterville, the pocket along the Provo River near the canyon mouth where, as our neighborhood guide puts it, the river parkway and old cottonwoods give the streets a tucked-away feel a few minutes from BYU. For a park of about five acres it holds a lot of sport.

Using the park
It is one of only four parks on this list with both a baseball field and a softball field, and it adds a basketball court and a sand volleyball court. The reservable pavilion has power and lights for evening parties, and there are grills, restrooms and a 30-space lot.
The neighborhood today
Carterville got smaller recently: on December 16, 2025 the City Council split the old neighborhood along the river, and everything east of the water became Brickyard. What remains is the river corridor around Carterville Road on the west bank, a mix of riverside apartments, townhomes and older homes on winding streets. University Parkway is its spine, putting BYU about five minutes away and Orem's University Place about ten.
