Lakeview North

Provo's fastest-changing edge — new subdivisions, big sky and the new Provo High

If any part of Provo is being built right now, it is this one. Lakeview North is the northwest corner of the city, historically farmland, now the address on a steady run of subdivision approvals, annexations and zone changes along Geneva Road and Lakeview Parkway. The new Provo High campus opened here in 2019 at 1199 North Lakeshore Drive, which changed the neighborhood's center of gravity in a way that is still working through.

Where it is

Roughly bounded by the Provo–Orem border to the north, I-15 to the east, West 820 North to the south, and about 3000 West to the west. Development is still moving the western edge.

The housing

The newest housing stock in Provo: recent single-family subdivisions, townhomes and workforce-housing projects, with agricultural parcels still converting between them. Garages, yards and modern layouts are the norm rather than the exception here.

Schools

Provo City School District. Provo High is in the neighborhood at 1199 North Lakeshore Drive; Lakeview Elementary at 2899 West 1390 North and Westridge Elementary at 1720 West 1460 North serve this side of the city. Attendance boundaries change and the district is the only authority on them, so confirm any address with Provo City School District before you count on a school.

Getting around

I-15 sits on the eastern edge, and Lakeview Parkway runs the length of the city's west side toward the airport and south Provo. Transit is thin; plan on driving.
