North Timpview
Quiet streets below Timpview High, where north Provo starts to feel like foothills
← All Provo neighborhoodsNorth Timpview is the stretch of north Provo that most people picture when they think 'established family neighborhood here' — wide streets, mature trees, mid-century and later homes on generous lots, and the mountains sitting close enough to structure the view from most front windows. It is one of three neighborhoods covered by the city's Northeast Neighborhoods Plan, which Development Services took to the Planning Commission in November 2024 as a proposed appendix to the General Plan — worth checking with the city for its current status if you care where the growth pressure in this part of town is pointed.
Where it is
North Provo above roughly 2600 North, east of University Avenue and running up toward the bench near Timpview High. Provo's neighborhood map is the authority on the exact lines.
The housing
Predominantly owner-occupied single-family homes, many built between the 1960s and the 1990s, with newer infill on the pockets that stayed empty longest. Rentals exist but are the exception, and turnover is slow.
Schools
Provo City School District. Timpview High is the neighborhood's high school, and Centennial Middle at 305 East 2320 North is the nearby middle school. Attendance boundaries change and the district is the only authority on them, so confirm any address with Provo City School District before you count on a school.
Getting around
A car neighborhood. University Avenue and 900 East both run south into the rest of Provo, and I-15 is roughly ten minutes west via Canyon Road or University Parkway. The nearest UVX stops are down on University Parkway rather than in the neighborhood itself.
