Pleasant View

North Provo along Canyon Road, where the city thins out toward the river and the bench

Pleasant View sits in the belt of north Provo organized around Canyon Road, a diagonal that cuts against the city's grid and gives the neighborhood a looser, less rectangular feel than the blocks south of it. It is a genuinely mixed area: long-held single-family homes on large lots next to newer higher-density proposals, which is why it turns up regularly on Planning Commission agendas — a 100-unit apartment rezone at 2000 North Canyon Road is one recent example.

Where it is

North Provo in the Canyon Road corridor, north of the older central grid and west of the steeper bench neighborhoods. Check the city's neighborhood map for the exact lines.

The housing

Older single-family homes on larger-than-average lots, plus a growing number of townhome and apartment projects working their way through the rezone process. What gets built here over the next few years is being decided now, in public, at North District meetings.

Schools

Provo City School District, with Timpview High serving this part of the city. Attendance boundaries change and the district is the only authority on them, so confirm any address with Provo City School District before you count on a school.

Getting around

Canyon Road feeds straight down into central Provo; University Avenue and 900 East are the other two north–south options. I-15 is about ten minutes. Transit is thin inside the neighborhood.
