Provost South is the lower half of the Provost area, sitting between the older southeast grid and the mouth of Slate Canyon. It is quieter than its northern neighbor and closer to the point where streets stop and the mountain starts — which for a certain kind of buyer is the whole argument.

Where it is

South of the Provost neighborhood in southeast Provo, running toward Slate Canyon and the south end of the city. Check the city's neighborhood map for exact lines.

The housing

Single-family homes across several eras, from post-war to relatively recent, with newer subdivisions filling the pockets nearer the canyon. Fewer rentals than Provost proper.

Schools

Provo City School District, with Provost and Spring Creek elementaries nearby and Provo High serving much of south Provo. Attendance boundaries change and the district is the only authority on them, so confirm any address with Provo City School District before you count on a school.

Getting around

Five to ten minutes to I-15 via 1860 South or University Avenue, and a straight run north into downtown. A car is assumed here.
