Sherwood Hills

The northeast corner where Provo runs out and the canyon begins

Sherwood Hills occupies the northeast shoulder of the city, close to where US-189 turns into Provo Canyon. It is one of the three neighborhoods — with Riverbottoms and North Timpview — covered by the city's proposed Northeast Neighborhoods Plan, and it has the profile that goes with that position: low density, big views, and a short drive to the canyon mouth that most of the valley has to plan around.

Where it is

Provo's northeast corner, near the mouth of Provo Canyon and the upper end of the Riverbottoms. Refer to the city's neighborhood map for exact lines.

The housing

Larger single-family homes on hillside and near-hillside lots, with limited turnover. Purpose-built rental stock is minimal.

Schools

Provo City School District; Timpview High serves this end of the city. Attendance boundaries change and the district is the only authority on them, so confirm any address with Provo City School District before you count on a school.

Getting around

US-189 puts Heber and Deer Valley within a straightforward drive and drops you into central Provo in about ten minutes. I-15 is roughly fifteen. This is a two-car part of town.
