Sunset is a compact west-central neighborhood organized around Sunset View Elementary at 1520 West 600 South and the park next to it. It is unshowy and functional in the best sense: houses that families actually live in, a school within walking distance for most of the neighborhood, and a quick run to both the freeway and downtown.

Where it is

West-central Provo in the 300–900 South band west of about 1000 West. Refer to the city's neighborhood map for exact lines.

The housing

Single-family homes of the 1960s through 1990s, with duplexes and small multi-family buildings on the larger streets. A mix of owners and long-term renters.

Schools

Provo City School District. Sunset View Elementary is in the neighborhood at 1520 West 600 South, Shoreline Middle is close at 1201 West 890 South, and Provo High serves this side of the city. Attendance boundaries change and the district is the only authority on them, so confirm any address with Provo City School District before you count on a school.

Getting around

Five to ten minutes to I-15, and roughly the same to downtown via Center Street or 500 West. UVX is a drive or a long walk east.
