Footprinters Park is built for tournament days. Its 366 parking spaces are by far the most of any park on this list, the 18 acres are given over to softball, and it sits next door to Shoreline Middle School in the Sunset neighborhood. Provo says it has more than 330 local teams competing for 11 city sports fields, which explains both this park's size and the city's new Epic Sports Park near the airport.

The silk marker
One of the Rotary Club's history plaques stands here, and its subject is unexpected: Provo once had a silk industry. Brigham Young pushed for home-grown silk from 1856, sending to France for mulberry seed and planting 25 acres of trees, but the work took off in Provo only after his death in 1877, when Provo horticulturist Daniel Graves urged the local Relief Society to take it up; those who did formed the Silk Association of Utah County, planted more than 3,000 mulberry trees and raised silkworms.
