Southbound I-15 in Lehi Shifts to a New Lane Pattern at 2100 North Until May 2027

UDOT has shifted southbound I-15 into a new lane pattern at 2100 North (Exit 282) in Lehi for the 2100 North freeway project. Expect it through May 2027.

Drivers heading south on I-15 through Lehi are now in a new lane pattern at 2100 North (Exit 282), and it isn't going away soon: UDOT expects it to stay in place through May 2027 while crews build the new 2100 North freeway connection, KSL and the Daily Herald reported.

Why the lanes moved

UDOT says the shift gives crews space to relocate utilities, build a soil-stabilizing wall and begin foundation work for a new I-15 interchange at 2100 North, according to the Daily Herald. The Herald reported that drivers in both directions should expect the pattern to last until May 2027.

UDOT also scheduled overnight lane closures at 2100 North in late October, the Herald reported: crews start closing lanes at 7 p.m., narrow traffic to one lane by midnight and reopen all lanes by 4 a.m. Later closures prepare for overhead signs. Schedules depend on weather.

The project behind it

The 2100 North Freeway project builds 2.8 miles of new freeway on 2100 North (SR-194) in Lehi, linking I-15 and Mountain View Corridor, according to UDOT's project page. UDOT says that once it is finished it should save east-west commuters about 12 minutes each way at peak times. Construction began in spring 2026, and UDOT lists completion in late 2028, a date it calls preliminary. The project also improves pedestrian and bike connections, KSL reported.
