South Fork Park is where a lot of Utah Valley's family reunions happen. It sits on South Fork Road a few minutes above Vivian Park, with a stream running through it and several large pavilions, and that pairing of big shelters with a short drive from the valley is why its summer weekends book first.

Using the park
It is a Provo City park, so its pavilions are reserved through Provo Parks and Recreation when the city's booking season opens. Beyond the pavilions there are picnic tables, grills, power, restrooms, water, a fire pit and river access. For a smaller group or a quieter afternoon, drive on to Big Springs.
The canyon inside the canyon
Our Provo Canyon guide calls the South Fork the canyon inside the canyon, and this park is where most people first see it: the road climbs past summer homes into a quieter valley with water running beside it the whole way. Conserve Utah Valley, the land trust working to protect the South Fork, lists the park's tables, grills, restrooms, water, power and several large pavilions.
