Canyon Glen Park is the first park you reach inside Provo Canyon, on Provo Canyon Road just past the mouth, and it belongs to Provo City, although most of the canyon's other parks are Utah County's. The Provo River runs along it and the Provo River Trail passes the lawn, so it doubles as a picnic ground and a trailhead.

Using the park
The nine acres include reservable pavilions with power, grills, a fire pit, a playground, a sand volleyball court (bring a net), restrooms and a small amphitheater or stage. Being the closest canyon park to town, it is the first to fill on summer weekends; if it is full, the county's parks farther up the canyon are the fallback.
Getting there
From town, follow University Avenue north into the canyon on US-189; Canyon Glen is the first park you reach. Riders can come up the Provo River Trail instead, which passes the park on its way up the canyon.
