A filled pin is a street address. A ring is an approximate point: a whole development, a street-level match, or, for board listings, the center of the city, because listings never publish a street address. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.

How the finder works
- Listings are posted by owners, landlords, agents and property managers on our free listing form and approved by a person before they appear. They are the only results with prices; for a sale it is the asking price. Sale prices are never shown. Listings expire after 30 days unless renewed.
- Apartment communities come from our apartment directory, which carries no rents on purpose; each profile links the property's own site for current prices. "Room for a family" matches a community only when its own published floor plans include three or four bedrooms. Price, bedroom and pet filters match listings only, so turning them on hides communities.
- New construction comes from our new-construction finder: master-planned communities, townhome and apartment projects, with their status.
- Who it's for separates student housing and 55-and-older communities from housing open to anyone. Fair housing law does not let a listing prefer or exclude families with children, so the family filter works from bedroom count instead.
