The pools

The lap pool is 50 meters long. The leisure pool has a lazy river, a play structure, a water slide and a diving board; the older Orem page says the water toys turn on at 3 p.m. on weekdays and noon on Saturdays. Our indoor pools and lap swimming guide compares it with every other public pool in the valley.

Childcare

Childcare takes children from 3 months to 8 years, for $3 an hour (one-hour minimum) or $22 a month, up to two hours per child per day. Hours: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to noon and 4 to 9 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m. to noon. It's closed Sundays.

Courts, climbing and the rest

There are four racquetball courts you can reserve for up to two hours, drop-in basketball, volleyball and pickleball, a bouldering wall, a playground and a teen lounge.
