Brickyard
Provo's newest neighborhood, split from Carterville along the Provo River in 2025
← All Provo neighborhoodsBrickyard is the 35th and newest name on Provo's neighborhood map. The City Council approved splitting the Carterville neighborhood along the Provo River at its December 16, 2025 hearing, leaving Carterville west of the river and creating Brickyard to the east. The split recognizes what residents already knew: the two sides of the river had stopped being one neighborhood, especially as the 2230 North UVX station area drew its own planning attention.
Where it is
North Provo east of the Provo River, in the area formerly counted as part of Carterville. Because the neighborhood is new, the city's neighborhood map is the only authoritative source for its lines.
The housing
A mix of established single-family homes and the newer, denser development following the 2230 North Station Area Plan, which rezoned roughly 39 acres within a quarter-mile of the UVX station. Expect the housing mix here to keep changing.
Schools
Provo City School District; confirm attendance with the district, which is especially worth doing here because the neighborhood boundary itself is newer than most published maps. Attendance boundaries change and the district is the only authority on them, so confirm any address with Provo City School District before you count on a school.
Getting around
One of the better transit positions in the city: the 2230 North UVX station connects south to BYU, downtown and Provo Central Station, and north to UVU. UVX is free only with a qualifying student ID. I-15 is about five minutes west.
