Holy Cross Hospital–Mountain Point in Lehi: The Hospital You May Still Call Mountain Point Medical Center

Holy Cross Hospital–Mountain Point, the former Mountain Point Medical Center in Lehi: the ER, Level III trauma, births and the Level II NICU, and directions.

The hospital beside I-15 at Thanksgiving Point has had three owners and two names in about eleven years, which is why people still give directions to "Mountain Point Medical Center." Its current name is Holy Cross Hospital–Mountain Point, it belongs to CommonSpirit Health, and it is at 3000 North Triumph Boulevard in Lehi. The main number CommonSpirit lists is 385-345-3000.

It is the hospital closest to much of the Silicon Slopes office corridor, Traverse Mountain and the west side of the lake. This guide covers the name history, the emergency department, births, and how to get there. It is information, not medical advice. In an emergency, call 911.

Three owners, one building

So if an old referral, a map app or a relative says Mountain Point Medical Center, it is the same place.

Getting there

The hospital's own directions:

The hospital's pages do not publish a parking map or parking rules.

The emergency department

CommonSpirit lists an emergency department at the hospital and describes it as ready for everything from chest pain and broken bones to life-threatening problems. The hospital's nursing page says emergency nurses follow protocols for sepsis, stroke and heart attack, triage patients to cut waits, and support the hospital's Level III Trauma Certification.

The state's trauma center list is less clear than the hospital's own page. The Utah Bureau of EMS list dated April 14, 2025 includes a Level III entry labeled only "Lehi," first designated November 20, 2017, with an expiration of January 27, 2022 and an extension date of January 27, 2025. It does not spell out the hospital's name, and the dates on it had passed by the time the list was published. We report what the hospital says (Level III) and recommend checking with the Bureau of EMS if the designation matters to you.

Heart care is part of the emergency picture: the hospital says its cardiac catheterization lab works with the ER on heart attacks. For deciding between urgent care and an ER, see urgent care or the ER, and for every walk-in clinic in the county, the urgent care locations map.

What else is inside

The hospital's nursing page lists the services its nurses staff, which is a fair outline of what the hospital does:

Births and the NICU

Safety ratings the hospital cites

The hospital says it received a Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade of "A" in spring 2024, fall 2024, spring 2025 and fall 2025, and that it and Holy Cross Hospital–Jordan Valley jointly received the Healthgrades 2025-2026 Patient Safety Excellence Award.

Insurance and bills

Mountain Point is the only CommonSpirit hospital in Utah County, so its insurance networks differ from both Intermountain and HCA. Before a planned birth or surgery, confirm with your insurer that the hospital and your doctors are in network. In an emergency, the federal No Surprises Act, in effect since January 1, 2022, protects insured patients from unexpected out-of-network bills for ER visits, according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. CommonSpirit's site links to financial assistance, discounted care and a price estimator.

The other north-county doors

Who owns what, and why it matters for your insurance, is in our hospital networks explainer. If you are moving to the area for a corridor job, living in Lehi covers the city around the hospital.
