East Bay
Provo's south commercial district — golf, big-box retail and the freeway interchange
← All Provo neighborhoodsEast Bay is where Provo puts the things that need land: the East Bay Golf Course, the business and office park, the big retail around Provo Towne Centre, and the I-15 interchange that serves all of it. It is more a place people work, shop and play than a place they live, though residential development keeps pressing in at the edges, and it is the reason 'south Provo' means something different to a commuter than it does to a homebuyer.
Where it is
South Provo between University Avenue and I-15, taking in the golf course, the business park and the Towne Centre retail area. Refer to the city's neighborhood map for exact lines.
The housing
Very little traditional housing stock. The residential options nearby sit in Spring Creek, Provost South and Lakewood; treat East Bay as an amenity you live near rather than in.
Schools
Provo City School District serves the surrounding residential neighborhoods; East Bay itself is largely commercial. Attendance boundaries change and the district is the only authority on them, so confirm any address with Provo City School District before you count on a school.
Every Provo neighborhood is served by Provo City School District, which runs independently of the Alpine reorganization. That guide covers open enrollment, the board, and the current boundary review.
If you are renting here
Deposits, repairs, landlord entry and eviction in Utah are governed by statute, not by whatever the lease says. Renters' rights in Utah sets out what the Fit Premises Act actually requires and the deadlines that apply to both sides.
Getting around
Built around the I-15 interchange, which is the fastest freeway access in the city. UVX runs up University Avenue and Provo Central Station is a short drive north for FrontRunner.
