Franklin, southwest of downtown, is one of Provo's most culturally diverse neighborhoods — a working-class historic district where you'll hear Spanish on the sidewalk and find some of the city's best hole-in-the-wall food nearby. Franklin Park and its recreation programs anchor the community.

Where it is

Southwest of the Center Street/University crossroads — roughly Freedom Boulevard west to about 900 West, Center Street south toward 900 South, with Franklin South continuing below.

The housing

Modest historic homes and cottages with a strong rental presence and pockets of newer infill. Among the more attainable areas in central Provo.

Schools

Provo City School District; Franklin Elementary is the neighborhood school. Confirm current boundaries with the district.

Every Provo neighborhood is served by Provo City School District, which runs independently of the Alpine reorganization. That guide covers open enrollment, the board, and the current boundary review.

If you are renting here

Deposits, repairs, landlord entry and eviction in Utah are governed by statute, not by whatever the lease says. Renters' rights in Utah sets out what the Fit Premises Act actually requires and the deadlines that apply to both sides.
