The Fulton Library at Utah Valley University in Orem is open 7 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday during fall and spring semesters, closing earlier on Friday and Saturday and opening 1 to 8 p.m. on Sunday. Its study rooms are by reservation, up to four hours a day, and its first-floor Family Study Suite lets parents bring their kids.
Everything below is from the Fulton Library's own hours, study-space and room-reservation pages, read Nov. 7, 2026.
Hours
Regular fall and spring semester hours:
| Day | Hours |
|---|---|
| Monday-Thursday | 7 a.m. to midnight |
| Friday | 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. |
| Saturday | 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. |
| Sunday | 1 to 8 p.m. |
Plan around the closing routine: the second-floor circulation desk shuts 30 minutes before close, and all computers and the first-floor circulation desk shut down 15 minutes before close. A book drop takes most returns when the building is closed.
Holiday, Thanksgiving, finals and break hours go on a separate special-hours calendar linked from the hours page. For a specific day, call the circulation desk at 801-863-8886 or the reference desk at 801-863-8840. UVU's Thanksgiving break is Nov. 23-29 this year, and the semester's calendar is in our UVU Spring 2027 dates.

The rooms are on the second, third and fourth floors. They have HDMI hookups and TV monitors, and the third- and fourth-floor rooms have whiteboards. The library warns they are not soundproof, so a loud study group carries.
Study pods
For working alone, the library has study pods on the first and third floors: individual spaces with a charging station, whiteboards and sound insulation. Like the rooms, they aren't soundproof.
The Family Study Suite
The Gibson Family Foundation Family Study Suite, on the first floor, is built for students who are also parents. It has:
- A play area with toys, books and children's furniture
- A restroom with a changing station
- A private lactation room
- Computers and a printer set aside for parents
- Semi-private study rooms with outlets, wall-mounted playboards and soft-close doors
No reservation is needed; the library's own announcement says "just walk in." Children must be accompanied at all times. If you're juggling school and a family, our married students guide and UVU commuter guide are the next reads.
