Storytimes at Every Utah County Library: The Weekly Schedule, City by City (October 2026)

Baby, toddler, preschool and Spanish storytimes at Utah County's city libraries, with days and times from each library's own calendar as of October 2026.

Every schedule below comes from the library's own website or calendar, checked in the week of October 19, 2026. Storytimes pause for holidays, school breaks and summer reading, and libraries rework them each season, so treat this as the fall 2026 pattern and confirm on the library's calendar before you load the car.

The county has no single library system (our Utah County libraries guide explains why), so there is no single calendar either. That is why this page exists.

Quick finder: a storytime for every weekday

Evening options: Provo's Cuentos (Monday 6:30 p.m.), Spanish Fork's bilingual family storytime (Monday 6:30 p.m.), Orem's Big Kids Storytime and Hora de Cuentos (4 p.m.).

As of October 2026: American Fork (Bouncing Babies at 9:15 and 10 a.m.), Pleasant Grove (Rhythm and Song at 10 and 11 a.m., ages 3 to 6), Highland (Baby Storytime at 11 a.m.), Springville (Baby Lap Time at 10:10 and 11 a.m.), Spanish Fork (Story Tots at 10 a.m., Ready Readers at 11 a.m. and a bilingual family storytime at 6:30 p.m.) and Provo (Cuentos in Spanish at 6:30 p.m., plus Tummy Time Together on the first Monday).
Which Utah County library has a Saturday storytime?
Few do. In October 2026, Spanish Fork listed a Sensory Storytime on Saturday, October 24 at 11 a.m., and Springville listed a Cuentitos en Español storytime that same Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Most libraries hold storytime on weekday mornings only.
Is there a Spanish storytime in Utah County?
Yes. Provo City Library holds Cuentos on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. and Fridays at 10:30 a.m., and Cuentitos for babies on Fridays at 9:30 a.m. Orem holds Hora de Cuentos on Thursdays at 4 p.m. Spanish Fork holds a bilingual family storytime on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. American Fork and Springville also listed bilingual or Spanish storytimes in October 2026.
Do I need a library card or registration for storytime?
Usually not. Lehi says no registration is required for its storytimes, and most libraries run drop-in sessions. Saratoga Springs is the exception: it requires registration for in-person story times, opening two weeks before and closing an hour before each session. Provo's Hands-On Story Time also asks families to preregister.
Is there a baby storytime in Provo?
Provo City Library's Book Babies, for babies and a parent or caregiver, meets Fridays at 10 and 11 a.m. in the Story Circle as of October 2026. Its Cuentitos, a Spanish baby storytime, meets Fridays at 9:30 a.m., and Tummy Time Together meets on the first Monday of the month from 10 to 11 a.m.
Is there a sensory-friendly storytime in Utah County?
Spanish Fork Public Library listed a Sensory Storytime for people of all ages with sensory needs and their families on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Spanish Fork also has a weekly Sing and Sign storytime that blends music with American Sign Language.
Can I go to storytime at a library in a city where I don't live?
Storytimes are generally open drop-in programs, but card and program rules vary by city. Our guide to Utah County libraries explains the Provo and Orem agreement, the north county cooperative and nonresident fees. Saratoga Springs, which requires registration with a library card, is the one to check first.
Does Mapleton have a library storytime?
Mapleton does not appear in the Utah State Library directory with its own city library. The directory lists Mapleton as the headquarters of the Utah County Bookmobile at 125 West Community Center Way. Families there are close to Springville and Spanish Fork, which both run weekly storytimes.
