The Blake is a contemporary event space a few blocks west of the Provo City Center Temple, with a gallery room, an assembly hall, an outdoor terrace and four garage doors that roll up for food trucks. It publishes a short, simple rate card, which makes it one of the easier downtown venues to compare.
All details below are from The Blake's own website, checked November 1, 2026.

Published rates
| Day | Full-day rate |
|---|---|
| Sunday to Wednesday | $1,700 |
| Thursday | $1,900 |
| Friday and Saturday | $2,600 |
Each rate covers the entire space for the day, with tables, chairs, the sound system and the decor package included. Early access or late checkout is $100 an hour. Alcohol carries a $300 fee and requires a licensed bartender.
The pricing page lists the standard window as 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and the inclusions page says 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Get the end time in writing. The site does not publish deposit terms or seasonal rates; ask when you tour.
What the rental includes
- Spaces: the Gallery, the Assembly Hall, the Terrace (outdoors), a bridal suite, a kitchen, a sound room with a microphone and speakers, and a decorations room.
- One setup by the venue.
- Tables and chairs: 12 large banquet tables (8 by 3 feet), 3 medium banquet tables (6 by 3 feet), 10 standing cocktail tables and 120 chairs.
- Decor: table runners, large and small photo frames, vases, candles, easels, flower stands and drink dispensers.
The chair count matters: 120 chairs against a 350-person capacity means a seated dinner for more than 120 needs rented chairs, while a flowing reception with standing tables fits the included set.
Vendors and food
The Blake lets couples bring any vendor, including food trucks, and keeps a preferred list as a convenience. The four garage doors open so trucks can serve straight into the room, which suits a casual evening reception and cuts catering cost. For a plated or buffet dinner, ask how much of the kitchen your caterer can use.
On a temple day
The Provo City Center Temple is about 2 minutes away by OpenStreetMap routing. With a full-day rental starting at 10 a.m., a morning sealing, a luncheon and an evening reception can share one booking.
Touring
Book a tour through the venue's site. Questions worth asking: the deposit and payment schedule, the confirmed end time, how the Terrace is used in cold or wet weather, parking for guests, and what the one included setup covers if you change the room between a luncheon and a reception.
Our reception venue prices guide puts The Blake beside other venues that publish rates, and reception centers city by city lists the rest of Provo. Downtown, The Bright Building and The Startup Building are a few blocks away. Sign every term in writing; our vendor contracts guide explains what to check.
