Renting in Vineyard
What rents look like in Vineyard, Utah, from three public sources that measure different things: Zillow's asking-rent index, HUD's fair market rents for the metro, and what tenants themselves report to the Census Bureau. Every number names its source and period.

| Median gross rent tenants report (Census, 2020-2024 ACS 5-year estimates) | $1,834 a month |
| Households that rent | 55.3% (2,613) |
| Rental vacancy rate | 0% |
| Renters paying 35% or more of income on rent | 37.3% |
Asking rents: Zillow's index
Zillow's Observed Rent Index for Vineyard was $1,718 a month in September 2026, against $1,721 a year earlier (down 0.2%). The Provo-Orem metro figure was $1,773, so Vineyard sits 3.1% below the metro. The index blends houses, condos and apartments and measures advertised rents on new leases, not what existing tenants pay.

Who rents, and what they pay
The Census Bureau's American Community Survey counted about 2,613 renter households in Vineyard (margin of error ±237), or 55.3% of occupied homes. That is the second-highest renter share of the 10 Utah County cities we cover.
Tenants reported a median gross rent of $1,834 a month (±$51), the 4th-highest of those cities. Gross rent includes utilities the tenant pays and covers every renter household, including long-time tenants on older leases. Here it runs above Zillow's asking-rent index, partly because gross rent includes utilities and the index does not, and partly because the two cover different years and homes.
The survey's rental vacancy rate was 0%, which points to a tight market where vacant units are scarce. And 37.3% of renters paid 35% or more of their household income on rent (±11.2 points).
