The rules that shape the day

Any vendor, if licensed and insured. Cooking on site generally isn't allowed, including crock pots; chafing dishes are fine, and other equipment needs approval in advance.

Alcohol through La Fête. Alcohol must be served by the venue's bartenders with a security guard. The $300 fee doesn't cover the alcohol or the bartenders, event insurance is required, and only open bars are allowed.

Send-offs: no petals, confetti or silly string. Sparklers and bubbles work outside; LED wands and ribbons inside or out. Everything you bring leaves with you.

Out by midnight. Guests and vendors must be gone by 12 a.m.

On a temple day

This is La Fête's strongest point. By OpenStreetMap walking routes it is about 0.25 mile, roughly five minutes, from the Provo City Center Temple, the same as the Utah Valley Convention Center and closer than The Ivory Hall or White Willow. The wedding party gets 15 dedicated parking spots beside the building, and two large garages next door are free for guests, which matters on a downtown Saturday. The luncheon block (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) fits after a morning sealing, and the all-day block covers a luncheon and the reception. Our guide to sealings at the Provo City Center Temple covers the temple side of the day.

Touring

Book a tour through the venue's site, or call (385) 585-1040 or email info@lafetevenue.com. Ask for the first-payment amount and cancellation terms, and how a ceremony fits in the room.
