Wadley Farms is a 23-acre family farm in Lindon at the foot of Mount Timpanogos, with gardens, vineyards and orchards around three rentable buildings: a stone Castle, an event Barn and a historic Railroad Building. It is about 5 minutes from the Lindon Utah Temple. What sets it apart in a practical sense is that the rules change with the building you choose, especially on catering, so read the whole page before you fall for the Castle.
Everything below comes from Wadley Farms' own website as checked in October 2026.
The basics
- Address: 5 East 400 North, Lindon, UT 84042
- Email: info@wadleyfarms.com
- Rental hours: 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. (8 hours) or 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (12 hours)
- From the Lindon Utah Temple: about 1.6 miles, around 5 minutes (uncongested OpenStreetMap routing)
The farm says it has been a "dedicated farm and venue space since 1869." Our short history of Lindon covers the town around it.
The three buildings
The Castle. A 4,500-square-foot Great Hall with two grand staircases and a 38-foot fireplace, a bride's dressing room with a balcony over the vineyards, a groom's dressing room, and an 1,800-square-foot upper chamber. Full-service kitchen with on-site catering. FAQ capacity: up to 200 seated, up to 350 open-flow.
The Barn. Arched wood beams, vaulted ceilings, a grand staircase, slate floors, two fireplaces and a balcony. The weddings page describes it as ideal for "receptions, dinners, business meetings, luncheons." Capacity: up to 100 for a sit-down dinner; the FAQ says up to 250 open-flow, while the weddings page says up to 300 for an open house reception.
The Railroad Building. A turn-of-the-century building for up to 40 at a sit-down meal or 100 for an indoor ceremony; with the garden, up to 300 for an open house reception.
From April through September, renting a building includes exclusive use of its surrounding gardens. The Barn and Railroad Building rent together.
A note on the numbers. The homepage describes weddings "with up to 200 guests," the FAQ gives larger open-flow figures, and the Barn's open-house figure differs between pages (250 versus 300). Ask the venue which number applies to your layout and season.

The rule that differs by building: catering
- Barn or Railroad Building: "you are able to bring in your own prepared food or hire the caterer of your choice." The kitchen can keep food warm or cool.
- Castle: "you are required to use one of our recommended caterers."
For a family that plans to cater a reception themselves, that difference can decide the building. Our catering guide covers outside caterers.
Seasons and ceremonies
The FAQ says outdoor ceremonies are weather-dependent and that "typically, we do not schedule outdoor ceremonies from October through March." Winter couples get the lower Barn rates but an indoor ceremony.
Staying on the farm
Three rentals: the Rustic Loft, the Chateau (sleeps up to 8, two balconies) and the Hermitage (two bedrooms, one bath). Check-in after 3 p.m., check-out by 11 a.m. The lodging FAQ says no gatherings or events in the apartments, asks for quiet after 10 p.m., and notes that events run most evenings from 4 to 9 p.m. Our unique stays in Utah Valley guide covers other options.
On a temple day
Wadley Farms is close to two temples: about 5 minutes from the Lindon temple and 11 from Mount Timpanogos. The Barn's luncheon use makes a Lindon day easy: sealing, photos on the temple grounds, luncheon in the Barn, then a reception in the Castle or back home. Remember the handbook's rule if family wants to see rings exchanged: not on temple grounds, so plan a ring ceremony here.
Photo sessions: the FAQ links a separate photoshoot policy. Read it before booking engagement photos on the grounds.
