Wedding cake is one of the few wedding costs that a small number of Utah Valley bakers publish in full: sizes, serving counts and starting prices. We read their price lists on October 20, 2026. Every figure below is the baker's own, as published that day, and every one is a starting price: the bakers say design, toppers and decoration add to it.

The two bakers that publish sizes count servings differently. For the same three-tier cake, Say It With Cake lists 72 servings and With Love, Em lists about 98, cut "party style," with a note that the counts are rough approximations and not guaranteed. Say It With Cake says each of its tiers is about 5 inches tall with three layers. Before you compare prices, ask how each baker cuts and counts.
Divided by the bakers' own serving counts, the plain starting prices come to about $5.70 to $7.40 a serving at Say It With Cake and $6.30 to $6.90 at With Love, Em. Aspen Cake Design starts at $10 a serving and says to expect $10 to $22 depending on the design.
Gluten-free and dairy-free
With Love, Em publishes its allergy surcharges, which is rare:

A Utah Valley habit saves real money: a small, decorated cake for the cutting and the photos, and plain sheet cakes in the kitchen for the guests.

Priced from Say It With Cake's list, a 6-inch cutting cake ($115) and ten 9-by-13 sheet cakes ($500) serve 212 to 312 guests for $615 before design and tax. A three-tier cake from the same baker serves 72.

Delivery, tax and the extras
- Delivery. Bucko Bakery in Orem charges $25 and up depending on the location and recommends delivery for wedding cakes; it does not offer pickup for cakes larger than one tier. Say It With Cake delivers free to Orem, Provo, Lindon and Vineyard.
- Tax. Say It With Cake says the final price depends on design, delivery location and sales tax; its page gives two different tax rates in two places, so ask for an all-in figure.
- Toppers and decoration. With Love, Em charges extra for toppers and decor without publishing the amounts; its quarter sheet includes a standard topper, and a custom name topper is $25 more.
- A smash cake. With Love, Em includes a free, simply frosted smash cake with a tiered order if you ask for it.

We read each baker's own price list on October 20, 2026, and copied the published figures. Per-serving figures are our arithmetic, dividing the baker's starting price by its own serving estimate. We did not request quotes or estimate unpublished prices. A baker appears because its prices are public, not because we rank it.
