No hours anywhere on this page. Utah Valley hours move with the academic calendar and a large share of independent restaurants close on Sundays, so a published time here would be wrong for someone within months. This site carries no operator website for these venues either, because none of the 80 food articles it was built from names one, and an unverified outbound link that has quietly become a parking page is worse than no link.
Stable facts only. No opening hours, no prices, no phone numbers, no ratings. Those are the facts that go stale, and a directory that carries them is wrong within a season while still looking authoritative. Every row here is name, address, cuisine, city and a link to this site's own writing about the place. For hours, ask the restaurant.
Every cuisine, and where this site writes about it
There are no /food/directory/<cuisine>/ pages on this site and there will not be. Every cuisine below already has an editorial page that owns it, and twelve of those pages are already written at exactly this granularity -- Provo and Orem, one cuisine. Generating an index would put a thin page into the same search result as the guide it was built from, on the same domain. So this table routes instead of duplicating: pick a cuisine, get the piece of writing that already argues about it.
Dedicated means the guide's own headline names the cuisine. Topic means no cuisine-specific guide exists and none should -- the cuisine is one facet of a page that genuinely owns it, like the city roundups. Gap means this site has restaurants in that cuisine and no article that owns them; the route is the nearest honest page and the shortfall is written down rather than papered over.

Where each address came from
Every address carries addressSource: the page on this site the address was read from. Every city carries cityBasis -- 'stated' where this site prints the city immediately after the address, 'article' where the only pages naming the venue are scoped to a single city in their own titles. A Utah Valley house number does not identify its own city: 22 W Center Street is Provo and 22 E Main Street is American Fork, and they are the same brand.
Places we have taken off the list
Venues this site records as closed, renamed or outside the valley are listed separately below and are deliberately absent from the directory. Aggregators keep pages live long after a kitchen has shut, which is the single most common way a food directory misleads people.
- The Continental — Announced its permanent closure in early 2026. The team have said a project with a similar culinary focus is coming. Where we say so.
- Hruska's Kolaches — Rebranded as The Kolache Place in 2026 -- same family, same recipes, same locations. Where we say so.
- Mountain West Burrito — Listed as permanently closed by several platforms. The same address and phone number are now Blue Poblano. Where we say so.
- The Wall — The restaurant and music venue in BYU's Wilkinson Student Center closed in 2020; the space has been redeveloped for the careers offices. Where we say so.
- Wing Coop — A good wing restaurant, but at 3971 S Wasatch Boulevard in Millcreek, Salt Lake County -- not in Utah Valley. Earlier versions of this site's wings guide named it as Provo's. Where we say so.
Provo and Orem only, on purpose
Provo and Orem, plus a small number of named exceptions outside them. The boundary was Provo/Orem-only in v1 and is deliberately narrow: the Provo grid originates at Center Street and University Avenue, this site has a curated street roster for it, and extending a directory past the ground it can check is how wrong addresses get published with confidence. v293 admits Hakata Ramen (Springville) and Lehi Bakery (Lehi) because both are named WITH a street address on this site's own pages, which is the entry condition every other row already meets. Cities are added to the vocabulary only alongside a row that uses them, so the filter can never offer a dead option.
